Playlist: The Elite Eight
A rough exit will never deny the good times we had along the way. Texas is definitively back.

March has been a month of high highs and low lows for Longhorn basketball fans — from being one of the top seeds in March Madness and making it to the Elite Eight, all the way to getting ousted within tasting-range of the Final Four. While the outcome of the game against Miami may not have been colored in burnt orange the way we wanted, the journey to the Elite Eight alone was enough to write home about. Texas might’ve lost a game, but it added to its following — and, in the process, gained a worthy new head coach.
When one looks back on this season, it’s hard not to get excited about what’s to come: After all, Texas is back, baby! Trace the turbulent ups and downs of this past month through eyes-wide-open hype songs such as Mac Miller’s “Programs,” and reminisce on all the times you’ve put your horns up out of happiness with Texan anthems like “Texas” by Foe G4ng and “I’m from Texas” by Lil’ Keke and Slim Thug. In the end, when we fall — if we fall — we’ll always come back better — and bigger — than ever. That’s what Texas is about.
